One day I asked my friend Paul Nelson if I could have some of the photos he took in high school (about two years prior). He gave me some and I took them back to Iowa City. The photos made me have a strange sensation in my stomach so I thought I would make a movie with them that would make the feeling more accessible to others. Although I don't really feel the same way about them anymore. This is what started my brief interest in making more strictly expressionistic movies (i.e. Court and Snow). This phase was short lived, with good reason!

if you made this before court and snow why did you post it after them. i only ask because i thought you were pretty into keeping the chronology intact, don't worry about where you'll stay when you visit, you'll be taken care of
